In March, Alea Global CEO Mohammad Al Duaij spoke at a summit organised by the Financial Times, giving insight into family offices in the Middle East.
The FT Family Business Summit in Dubai looked at the importance of family offices in the region, and included keynotes, panels and workshops.
Held over a day and a half, the summit was a gathering of those interested in private capital, investment opportunities and gaining an insight into the role of the family office in the Middle East in the 21st Century.
Mohammad was invited to speak due to his position as the CEO of a family office, but also because he himself organises family office summits around the world on a regular basis. His panel was entitled ‘Sustainable investment. The growth agenda for the world’.
Some of the other speakers at the event included prominent business leaders from the Middle East and around the globe, including Yuri Bender, Editor-in-Chief of the Financial Times; Riccardo Horsi, CEO, Board Member SACOTEL sal; and Sheikh Hussein Al Banawi, the Chairman & CEO of The Industrial Group.
