Having recently completed our second Africa Family Office Summit, Alea Global Group is more optimistic than ever about the new relationships we are forging between in the region.

The second Africa summit took place last month in Mauritius, and featured family offices from Africa and the Middle East – 52 family offices in total. There were also 15 service providers present who were able to connect with family office members in an informal professional environment.

Our delegates and speakers included Nicole Mertens (Head of Africa & Middle East, United Nations Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI), South Africa), Cornell Thomas (Positivity Speaker, USA), Chris McLean (CEO, Stonechair Capitalm Canada & Africa), Slim Zeghal (CEO, Altea Packaging, Tunisia), Nikesh Patel (Co-Founder, Kivu Noir Coffee, Mauritius), Paul Elvice Sokoudjou (President, Jeffersons Group, Cameroon) andTafadzwa Makadzange-Chigumira (CEO, Tusani Group, Tanzania).

The programme covered current affairs, future-proofing, family office matters and topics specific to the region.

With an intimate number of delegates taking advantage of the built-in networking breaks, the connections made over the two days will undoubtedly lead to successful new partnerships and professional relationships over the coming months.
